50 years ago... for a while I was stuck doing security of division headquarters in West Germany... and every once in a while a wife would get bent for us (military police) not saluting... yeah it was petty and I would just ignore...one time had a Second Lieutenant come down to chew butt... told him to go away or he would be getting a ride to the MP station... funny how your job out ranked officers... main point... it actually happens
